While training for the forthcoming 2nd and final match of the 2012 Portuguese
MLAIC nationals, and after continuous "improvement and focus sessions" across the last weeks, I finally broke the 95 points mythical barrier - being 94 the mark for the "master shooter" award from the
Portuguese Shooting Federation and 95 the mark required to qualify for international competitions. For MLAIC scoring, the best 10 out of 13 shots are accounted for, and a inner 50% ring impact is required.
Today, April 8th 2012, using my custom Billinghurst underhammer muzzleloading pistol by
Tilo Dedinksi, in .36 cal., with a load of 11 grains 3F Black Powder (Rio brand), 11 grains of corn semolina, lead bullets by
Rifle Bullet Caster (Germany) 0,354" , 65 grains, on top of 0,24mm thick, 24mm diam. cotton patches, also by Rifle Bullet Caster, lubed with P. André (Portugal) custom "French" mix (50% distilled water, 20% metilic alcohol (95%), ammoniac (5%) and 10% Johnson & Johnson "Baby Oil"), I scored the so much sought 95 mark!
